Board Leadership: A Leadership Team or a Team of leaders
This Masterclass is designed for people who are already leaders in their own field, who have experience of managing change and leading people through it and who wish to increase their effectiveness. It helps Board members develop their existing leadership style, match it to current need and challenge it for currency and effectiveness as we head into change. Having vision, being able to communicate it believably and motivate people by it is a key skill. Doing this as a member of a team is difficult and the issues are complex; the Masterclass helps Board members recognise each other’s style, challenge each other and as a result ensure that the combined leadership approach of the Board really is greater than the sum of its parts. A combination of reflective practice, team teaching, rapid think-outs and input provides a buoyant and stimulating environment. The session takes a brief look at change and the leadership of change as well as discussing the issues involved in distance leadership and in being innovators.
