CHC National Council
The National Council is effectively the Board of Directors and is elected by CHC’s members. Its purpose is to manage the business affairs of the organisation. It has 23 members.
The corporate responsibility of National Council is to:
- Determine policy objectives for CHC and strategies to achieve them.
- Maintain overall financial control of CHC by setting a framework for its financial and business management standards.
- Establish a framework of delegation.
- Establish standards of conduct for CHC members.
- Ensure that CHC operates to the highest standards in all areas of its work.
- Ensure that CHC’s activities are conducted lawfully and in accordance with the generally accepted standards of performance and propriety.
