In January 2005, the Welsh Assembly Government established the Accessible Venues Programme for Wales Working Group. The group's objective is to promote good practice amongst organisations that organise public events, and to develop an action programme that ensures the Welsh Assembly uses accessible venues for all public meetings.As part of this process, the group has developed a consultation document detailing the key features of an accessible venue. The information gathered in response will inform the final format and scope of the guidance.
